Jeanette Walker-Guy
Online counselling for adults and young people aged 16+
A calm, thoughtful and down-to-earth space to talk, reflect and make sense of what you are carrying.
I’m Jeanette Walker-Guy, a Registered MBACP counsellor offering online counselling across the UK. I work with adults and young people aged 16+ who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, stuck, or navigating change, identity, relationships, illness, disability, loss or life transitions.
Limited in-person sessions may be available in County Durham / the North East by agreement.
About counselling with me
I offer a calm and supportive counselling space where you can talk openly and be met with warmth, care and respect.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different counselling ideas depending on what feels most helpful for you. At the heart of my work is a person-centred, relational and trauma-informed approach. This means I will not tell you what to do or rush you towards answers. Instead, we can work together to understand what is happening for you, explore patterns, make sense of feelings and support change at a pace that feels manageable.
You do not need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. Counselling can be a space to begin making sense of things.
What I can support you with
You may be looking for support with anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, burnout, life transitions, change, uncertainty, identity, belonging, relationships, disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, caring roles, loss, grief, low confidence or feeling stuck.
I also welcome LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent clients and people who may have felt misunderstood or not fully seen in other spaces.
How sessions work
I offer counselling primarily online, usually by Microsoft Teams. Online counselling can be a flexible and accessible way to have therapy from a private space that feels comfortable for you.
Sessions are 50 minutes. Before starting counselling, I offer a free initial conversation of up to 20 minutes. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what has brought you to counselling, what you are looking for, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Limited in-person sessions may be available in County Durham / the North East by agreement.
Fees
Initial conversation: free, up to 20 minutes
Counselling sessions: £50 per 50-minute session
Payment is usually made by bank transfer before each session.
